Our Foundation actively promotes grass roots participation and regulates the professional standards of tens of thousands of UK martial arts, self defence and boxing participants and instructors.
The British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA) was founded by our Foundation’s CEO in 2012 as a grass roots, politics free governing body for martial arts in the UK. Today it represents more than 16,500 members from more than 80 styles across the entire United Kingdom. This self-funded, self-sufficient organisation creates and delivers effective regulation and best practice to instructors whilst also providing all the tools, qualifications and resources needed to enable them to run safe, professional clubs. In addition to this core work, the Association also works tirelessly to promote grass roots participation to people of all ages, backgrounds and regions.
